Hunt meet at The Castle Inn - 2015
Not everyone is a fan of hunting but the sight of the hunt meeting at The Castle Inn is a tradition which many thought would not happen again.
Early in 2015 Debbie Searle and her partner Ian Trott took on the Castle. The pub had been closed for 12 months and many thought it would never open its doors again.
With a new roof, new windows and a lots of hard work Debbie & Ian opened their doors over the Easter weekend in 2015 and have barely stopped since. The all day Sunday lunch means that more often than not they can cater for over 100 covers during the course of a busy day.
A mixture of regular items and a changing specials board ensure plenty of variety and allergies and dietary requirements can be catered for upon request. The puddings are entitled Debbie's Delights as they are homemade, all served by local friendly staff.
Everyone is welcome, if you need refreshment after a hard day or looking for excellent quality home cooked food visit The Castle at George Nympton, always serving real ales, cider along with lager & Guinness, with a range of wines and spirits.
Debbie and Ian also three ensuite double rooms available for B&B which have been recently renovated to an excellent standard.
